The Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association has published a study in which the experts established a clear connection between human health and the birth month. According to the experts’ findings, the people who were born in one of the spring months possess the greatest potential regarding their health and the state of the body.
The authors of the study initially intended to determine the month of the year when most people with the lowest proneness to illnesses were born. Comparing the incidence of illnesses in the patients born in different seasons, the scientists concluded that the greatest number of people not prone to various ailments was born in May.
At the same time, those born in October usually consulted their doctors most often.
The experts’ conclusions are based on the results of the analysis involving more than 1.7 million patients from 1985 to 2013. In general, these patients suffered from 1688 various diseases.
The analysts found that the risk of suffering from fifty-five out of more than a thousand diseases depended on the month in which the person was born. For example, the incidence of asthma was characteristic of those who were born in October; attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) was typical of those born in November; while heart failure happened in the people born in March.
Note that it is not the first time scientists have demonstrated the link between birth time and the most important lifestyle factors, including health, temperament, potential longevity, and even the choice of profession. As scientists believe, similar patterns can result from the amount of sunlight that the fetus receives while in the womb. According to experts, the sun affects the production of vitamin D in the human body – its lack or abundance can exert a certain influence on various aspects of physiology, and the consequences of this influence can be quite long-lasting.
