Fergie Pregnant with Her First Child

The Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie and her actor hubby Josh Duhamel have let out that they are expecting their first child together some time this year. According to a Us Weekly source, the couple “tweeted it to the world” almost as soon as they learned the great news.

Fergie’s Monday Twitter message ran “Josh & Me & BABY makes three!” and it was followed up by some pictures in which the 37-year-old first-time mom superimposed old pics of herself and Duhamel as children. The same message was doubled by the Safe Haven actor on his Twitter and Facebook pages.

Fergie and Duhamel, 40, married since the beginning of 2009, spoke freely of their intention to have children with Oprah Winfrey on her Next Chapter last October. There was some argument over the number of children, Duhamel dreaming of as many as five, while the singer was a little less exuberant. They said they had thrashed out the question before and arrived at the number two.

The former Transformers hero believes that he and his wife will be in perfect sync over the bringing up, they having too much in common in terms of background. They are both Catholic, their parents were teachers, they have achieved what they did by hard work and altogether they are compatible on many points. But apart from that, added Duhamel, “she’s just an amazing girl!”
