James van der Beek’s Wife Gives Birth to a Son

James Van Der Beek and Kimberly have been husband and wife since August 2010, and they are already happier by two children! Their first daughter, Olivia, is 17 months old, and now she is joined by a younger brother.

The 35-year-old actor’s Twitter message said that a son was born to the couple on March 13, Tuesday. Van Der Beek acknowledges his wife’s role in the birth, but writes as if he had the child himself, so overwhelmed by feelings is he.

He further wrote that fatherhood had “heart expanding” in a way that would stop all the wars if it could be shared with the mankind.

The couple made known that they were expecting their second in October. They had been blessed with the birth of Olivia and didn’t think the feeling could be much deeper when they had become aware that Olivia’s sibling was on the way, wrote Van Der Beek back then.

The actor has his new series coming out mid-April on ABC, entitled Don’t Trust the B – in Apt. 23.
