Who Did Miranda Kerr Name Her Son After?
It’s sometimes a tricky point which of the parents the kid would have been better off to take after. Miranda Kerr’s son Flynn might have done himself proud to inherit the looks of his mother, the recognized diva of catalogues, catwalks and magazine covers. But Kerr is quite happy for Flynn to look like his dad, Orlando Bloom, reports the Australian Daily Telegraph.
Little Flynn is the spitting image of Bloom at the same age, the model told the paper. He begins to show his character; he is tranquil by nature and gives no trouble even when he is teething.
But little Flynn (whose full name is Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom) also carries deeper and graver associations, for he got his second name from a boy Kerr had been dating at high school. Her teen flame, Christopher Middlebrook, died tragically in a car crash.
The future Victoria’s Secret Angel had been seeing Christopher for two years before his death, and when he died, she wrote him promising to give her first child his name. When she told the story to her husband, Bloom went along with her wishes.
Now Flynn is half a year old, but he rarely parts with his mom. Kerr, who has been going on with photo shoots since April, takes pains to take him along to work, and gets away with it! Of course she has her hands full, but after she has fed him and he dropped off to sleep, she can shoot. “I’m thankful I can bring him along because not everyone can do that,” she comments.
According to Kerr, her motherhood brought on extra resources of “strength and stamina” so she can even stand her lack of sleep (and she likes to enjoy a proper shut-eye!). And every time Flynn smiles at her, she feels bliss.
