It is best to use creams with the SPF of not less than 50, based on vegetable components and thermal water. Lip skin must be protected from the sun, as well, so use a special lip balm with UV-protection.
Safe Suntanning during Pregnancy: Body
Among all the cosmetic products with UV-protection choose creams. They have a richer texture that is not always convenient for the application. However, they make a thick layer on the skin and provide the best protection from UV radiation.
Choose a cream with a sun protection factor higher than 40. Creams with SPF make a special film that protects skin from direct sunlight. During your stay at the beach apply a thin layer of cream every two hours or after each bathing.
After-Sun Skin Care Tips for Pregnant Women
After sunbathing it is necessary to moisturize and soothe your skin. To do this, experts have developed special emulsions and after-sun lotions. Apply the product on clean skin and let it get absorbed. Choose an emulsion based on natural ingredients: milk, soothing herbs, cream, and vegetable extracts.
If you have no lotion at hand, use the old-fashioned method – apply curds on the skin. This will moisturize the affected area well.
Thermal water from a container is also good. You can apply it on your whole body just before bedtime. Thermal water not only nourishes and moisturizes but also cools the overheated skin.
