Nadya Suleman’s Fertility Doctor Has No Medical Licence Anymore
Dr. Michael Kamrava, fertility doctor that treated octo-mom Nadya Suleman, is in hot water profession-wise. According to RadarOnline’s information, his medical license has been revoked starting from July 1, 2011.
Dr. Kamrava’s case was heard at a sitting of the medical board on Wednesday. The ruling found his judgment to be faulty on several occasions, one of which involved Suleman.
In 2008 Suleman was implanted by him with 12 embryos – an action that was held by the board as not advisable. The following January the octo-mom gave birth to 8 live children (she is the mother of 14 now).
Two other cases were judged as showing negligence on his part: his 48-year-old female patient who became pregnant with quadruplets suffered from complications, and a 42-year-old woman developed ovarian cancer supposedly caused by fertility treatment she underwent.
Dr. Kamrava’s lawyer, speaking at a public hearing, claimed that he is a good doctor who is perfectly able to learn from his mistakes.
