Rare Case: Baby Born in Amniotic Sac
One of those sacred moments that are impossible to be seen has recently got into a photo due to pains of a Greek doctor who was overwhelmed himself by what he had managed to get on camera!
Dr. Aris Tsigris of Athens, Greece was performing a caesarean section when he caught an “ultra rare” sight of a baby encased in the amniotic sac. The baby was already out of the womb, but, as Dr. Tsigris commented on his Facebook page where he posted the photo, being in the sac it had no way of sensing that it had already entered the world.
It is customary for the amniotic sac to break open at the onset of labor, which is followed by water issuing from the mother. But in this case the sac remained intact.
The doctor said the baby was feeling fine because it was still being placenta fed. Then the sac was opened, the baby was officially born and inhaled air.
The scene left Dr. Tsigris “breathless,” he confessed.
