Diet before Ultrasound Scanning and My Pregnancy Read

I just can’t wait for tomorrow morning when I will finally find out if I’m pregnant! It’s late at night now, and I’m going to bed soon. But I can be proud of myself, today I was a good girl, it means, I didn’t eat what I wasn’t allowed to the day before the ultrasound scanning, although there were enough temptations, such as milkshakes which I adore and fruits which I bought a lot, because it’s summer and it’s healthy. So, back to the diet before ultrasound.

Girls, avoid dairy products, bread, fruits and veggies, as they may cause gases which, for example, will not let your doctor see the ovaries by transvaginal ultrasound. Such “atmosphere” inside you can disperse the ultrasound and your doctor may miss something there. So, if you want to know as much as possible about your health, better follow this diet. My doctor also says, for the correct ultrasound scanning the bowels should be empty, too. This is called “being prepared”.

I was actually twice a good girl this day. Today we even had a walk in a park again, then my husband took pictures of various trees, flowers and insects (his way of relaxation), while I was sitting on a bench reading a book (my relaxation method) – the novel ‘Une vie’ (translated into English as ‘A Woman’s Life’) by Guy de Maupassant – this is exactly a kind of book a pregnant woman should read (except for books about pregnancy, of course) – it has everything: love, hate, dreams and disillusionment. Oh, and pregnancy, of course 😉
