Jessica Simpson Announces Pregnancy

The expected turned out to be true: Jessica Simpson is carrying a bun in her oven!

On Monday the news was finally revealed with Simpson announcing it via Tweeter (“I’m going to be a mummy!”) with a Halloween picture of herself in a cute mom image in which she caresses her prominent baby bump.

The 31-year-old has been known to say that she is dreaming of having a baby (her first!) by her fiancé Eric Johnson. So when, several weeks ago, pictures surfaced on the net showing the singer with a fuller waistline, speculations of her having gotten pregnant started to circulate. There were photographs at the airport where she was clearly making to protect her tummy. Another photo made in NYC where Simpson was wearing tight-fitting clothes also evidenced changes in her midsection.

Simpson’s parents Joe and Tina must be anticipating the newcomer, who will be their second grandchild. They have been grandparents since November 2008 when son Bronx was born to their daughter Ashlee Simpson and her husband (now divorced) Pete Wentz.

Jessica, engaged since last November, has been excited by the idea of starting a family with her lover man, who was with NFL, all this time.
