Singer Ne-Yo Is Overwhelmed by the Birth of His First Child

Grammy nominated R&B singer Ne-Yo will probably be less glad if he gets the Grammy than he is now – for his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw gave birth to his first child! All Hip Hop News offers the first reports of the joyous event.

The paper has it that last Friday the singer had to cut short his participation at a charity arrangement in Atlanta for his Ne-Yo Foundation upon learning that his actress girlfriend had been taken to hospital. Ne-Yo made it in time to welcome a baby girl who put in her appearance almost six weeks before the due time.

His next days’ Twitter message said that his daughter is healthy and her 31-year-old father finally understood the meaning of love. “My world, my life, all hers,” tweeted the happy singer.

The girl was named Madilyn Grace.
