Dairy Diet Makes Children Sturdier

Drinking MilkIt is believed that drinking milk and eating many diary products like butter and cheese – food that contains saturated fats – is not good for adults, because it can worsen heart condition. But it is totally different with children.

The study that appeared in Heart proves that a diet based on regular intake of dairy products is conducive to longevity in children.

Calcium-rich food (400mg considered the least dose), whole milk and other dairy foods diminish the possibility of a stroke and the mortality rate in general. It is as much as 25 percent less with those regularly taking milk products. The stroke risk goes down by 60 percent.

The researches say that dairy helps the body generate a hormone known as insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). It is an effective heart stimulator that prevents heart failure.

Therefore consumption of milk and other dairy foods strengthens children’s hearts and reduces the risk of death caused by heart dysfunction.

An approximate daily consumption required for the salubrious effect and a sufficient supply of calcium amounts to about 200ml of milk, a portion of yogurt and a little cheese.
