A Good Christmas Gift or a Bad Christmas Scare? Roadkill Toys Make a Statement Anyhow

A little late for Halloween when they would have looked ideally in place, it turns out that the new “roadkill” soft toys can make a dint in Christmas celebrations too.

Adam Arber's roadkill soft toys

Among the common run of plush tigers and teddy bears, softies by designer Adam Arber certainly look gory… But not gory enough to disqualify them from becoming a Christmas hit! They just look like cute animals that have been run over with their blood spilled and innards scattered all over the place.

So far there are three unfortunate creatures, Grind the Rabbit, Splodge the Hedgehog and Twitch the Raccoon, but there may be some other equally unmindful of heavy traffic. They are designed along the lines of a bag so that the kid that takes a liking for them can take their guts out and put them back in.

The producers do make a stipulation that these are not quite the thing for children under 14, hinting that it is sociopaths that can find them a welcome gift.
