Regular Sex Helps Give Birth to a Healthy Child

For many people, this statement may seem obvious, nonetheless, the experts say that the couples, who want to have children, should have sex regularly.

According to the researchers from the University of Adelaide, regular sex with a constant partner helps the woman increase her chances of conceiving and giving birth to a healthy baby. The scientists explain this tendency by the peculiarities of the female immune system, which should have time to adapt and then respond adequately to the sperm and “let it through”, thus giving the opportunity to reach the egg.

Professor Sarah Robertson says that the partners must have at least three to six months of regular sex on average before the woman’s immune system is finally able to react to the male sperm, allowing to conceive, and more importantly, to bear a child without any complications.

However, according to Robertson, in some couples this process may last for a year. Of course, it is easy to get pregnant in one night, but in this case, the chances of miscarriage or other complications during pregnancy, such as preeclampsia, are significantly greater.
